I moved closer, and there it was: a flower unlike any I've ever seen. Its petals twist in unfamiliar shapes, vibrant with colors that seem to shift as the light moves.

This is not an ordinary plant. The leaves have a strange textures, smooth on one side and rough on the other. Beneath it, a cluster of smaller sprouts push up from the soil, each one slightly different from the next — this plant might grow in bizar ways.

Back at the studio the analysis begins. I realized that under a microscope, the details are even stranger. 

I think I found some flowers.
