My work shows a clear obsession with the architectural and dances on the fine border with visual art. It is precisely at that border area that I discover an imaginary landscape in which imagination is central and occupies an autonomous position. The landscape forms the backdrop for a journey to the creative infinity of the architectural profession.
My working method is characterized by an uncontrolled controllability. By experimenting with contemporary architectural techniques and fusing them with traditional printing techniques, buildings are created in a very intuitive way.
The expression “paper architecture” has often been used to refer to architects who create utopian, dystopian or fantasy projects that were never intended to be built to exist merely as mental space, drawing, print or installation.
Being in an imaginary landscape that is at first sight free of specific political or cultural complexities could be seen as an escape from reality. At the same time, the new world that is discovered on the borderline is no less real than the actual world, it is a place where fiction and reality merge flawlessly.
